Faceshop Haul #1 ♥

Here is my Faceshop Haul that I promised!

I previously mentioned in my last post that a Faceshop store opened recently and FINALLY opened in Hawaii! (yay! ^O^) According to owner, he is also planning on opening one or two more stores later this year!

Originally when I went to the Faceshop store I planned on solely purchasing some late Christmas gifts for my friends; however (as always, and as I should've expected), it was impossible for me to walk out of the store without purchasing a few products for myself =P

As I mentioned in my previous post, Faceshop products are fairly affordable and range anywhere in price from about $2-$60.

Here are some of the products I purchased:

1. Lovely ME:EX Nails WH003

Cost: About $2-$3

I couldn't pass up the chance to buy this cute nail polish. This is a clear nail polish with little pink hearts and glitter. It's super cute, and extremely affordable.

2. Hair & Bath: Hair Rollers (5 pcs.)

Cost: $5-$6

Nothing super special about these hair rollers. I just needed an affordable set of hair rollers to curl my hair so I picked these up as I was checking out. =P

3. Lovely ME:EX Cushion Blusher (02 Sexy Orange)

Cost: About $7

I bought a peach Faceshop blush before when I visited their store in Santa Clara, and I absolutely loved it; however, it wasn't very portable since it didn't come with an applicator and I needed to use one of my make up brushes to apply it. This blusher is perfect because it's small and comes with an applicator (puff) in the case. Also it's very pigmented and easy to apply. You only need 1 or 2 puffs on each cheek.

Lastly, my favorite product that I purchased...

4. Lovely ME:EX Angel Skin Foundation (NB21)

(I tried to take a swatch of the color, but I ended up making a mess of everything. Hopefully you can still get a sense of what the color I bought looks like.)

Cost: $10

Although I initially wanted to purchase one of Faceshop's BB creams, I couldn't resist the cute packaging and portable size of this foundation. Initially after I purchased this product, I had second thoughts about whether or not I should return it; however, I'm glad I did purchase it. Although it's not BB cream, this foundation still has excellent coverage and the color is perfect for my skin tone. The foundation also goes on very smoothly and is easy to apply whether you're using a sponge, brush, or just your hand. A great foundation, especially for when you're on-the-go!

Besides the plus of Faceshop products being extremely affordable, they also give you tons of samples when you purchase their products.

Here is a list of samples I got from my last purchase:
1. 1 White Tree Snow Special Gift Set (Sample sizes of the clarifying booster toner & hydra advance emulsion)
2. 2 E'thym 02 Water Special Gift Set (Sample sizes of the balancing toner & moisture lotion)--> Quantity: 2
3. 4 E'thym O2 Water Aura Cream
4. 2 Power Perfection BB Cream
5. 2 Arsainte Eco-Therapy Vitalist Cream

I already gave a few of the samples to my friends with their Christmas presents so I only have 1 or 2 of each sample left.

I haven't had a chance to try any of the samples yet, but I will write a review when I have a chance to try them out!

I was also pleased to discover that unlike the Faceshop store in Santa Clara, the Faceshop store in Hawaii has a rewards point system. For every $100 you spend, you get 5% off your next purchase (I think, but don't hold me to it, you should definitely double check if you sign up for it!)

Here is the rewards cards they give you: A small card for your keychain & a regular credit card size card for your wallet.

About The Faceshop ♥

I was so excited that a Faceshop store finally opened where I live ^O^ Before I would only purchase Faceshop products from the Faceshop store in Santa Clara when I visited my boyfriend, or when he could pick up some Faceshop store products for me =P

For those of you who are not familiar with the Faceshop, "Faceshop is a South Korea-based retailer of body, bath, skin care, and make-up products. The company's marketing is largely based on natural products."--Source: Wikipedia

Previous and current spokespeople for Faceshop have included actors and singers such as Bae Yong Joon, Kim Hyun Joong (SS501), and Seohyun (SNSD).

I love Faceshop products because they often have a large variety of different products available at a wide range of prices. For example, they have about 10 different kinds of BB creams available and each BB cream usually comes in 2 or 3 colors. Although it may not seem like there's a wide selection of colors available for each BB cream, many BB creams often times come in only 1 color (usually a lighter color that will only work with people who have fairer skin tones). As a result, a lot of people with darker skin tones cannot wear BB creams. Most of their products are also fairly reasonably priced, so there's a product to fit everyone's budget.

Here is a commercial for the Faceshop with Kim Hyun Joong and Seohyun:

Stay tune for my next post when I cover my Facehop haul =^O^=

New Sunglasses ♥

If you follow Allkpop.com, you may remember seeing a picture of SNSD's Seohyun wearing a pair of sunglasses.

"In early October 2011, a chic picture of Seohyun was uploaded on an online community board. Seohyun had accented her jawline with big sunglasses. She gives off a rather different image than her usual innocent image as she is looking rather chic while pushing up her sunglasses with her hand." -- Source: Allkpop

Since seeing this selca of Seohyun, I've been wanting a similar pair of these chic sunglasses! ^O^

When my sunglasses cracked in my bag a couple weeks ago while I was hiking =( I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to try looking for a pair of sunglasses similar to Seohyun's sunglasses.

I haven't bought (or even tried on!) a pair of sunglasses with very large frames or round lenses before, so I wasn't sure how they would look on me. I usually buy sunglasses with smaller frames and less round lenses.

♥ My New Sunglasses ♥

The sunglasses I'm wearing are just a cheap pair of sunglasses from a kiosk at a premium outlet. They were only $10! ^O^

How do they look?!?! I definitely didn't pull off the look as good as Seohyun, but isn't this look still cute? At least $10 worth cute =P

Let me know what you think!

YesStyle Haul ♥

Since reading about Korean actress Jung Ryeo Won's outfit at her press conference for her movie "Pain" in mid-August 2011 on Allkpop and YesStyle, I've been wanting a pair of high-waist denim shorts!

Aren't they cute?! ♥

Yesstyle has a wide variety of high-waist denim shorts available that cost about $27.00 to $60.00 per pair.

The high-waist denim shorts that I bought were from Happy Cat (a South Korean Brand)

#1: High-Waist Denim Shorts from YesStyle
Brand: Happy Cat
Brand from South Korea
Cost: $49.40
Quality: Excellent
Availability: No Longer Available

Unfortunately they're no longer available, but there are many other high-waist denim shorts available from different brands on YesStyle.

Besides purchasing a pair of high-waist denim shorts, I also bought a pair of black pleated shorts.

#2: Pleated Shorts from YesStyle
Brand: Tokyo Fashion
Brand from Taiwan
Cost: $33.25
Quality: Good
Availability: No Longer Available

Although the shorts fit well, they didn't look as cute as they did in the picture which was disappointing =( Also, although the shorts were made well, the quality of the material of the belt was fairly poor which was also disappointing. I probably wouldn't buy these shorts again, but I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with my purchase. The shorts are still cute, BUT not as cute as I expected them to be. Although I was disappointed with the quality of the belt, it still looks nice on the outside ^O^ Therefore, overall I'm still satisfied with my purchase.

Tip: South Korean brand clothing tends to be more expensive, but they also tend to be made of higher quality materials. Clothes from Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong brands tend to be cheaper, but they're usually not as durable. Basically you pay for what you get!

New Website! ♥

First post for my new blog! ^O^

You can now also follow me on my new blog. Since I haven't found a good place to film yet, I will probably be posting more often on this website rather than my YouTube channel.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how I can improve this blog.
